About
The Coylet Inn is a 17th Century building full of character with a cosy and welcoming environment. On cooler days a warming, real log fire will greet you.The Inn is an ideal base for exploring the local hills, lochs and glens. Popular tourist attractions such as Pucks Glen and Benmore Gardens are just a short drive away.
The Inn has 3 double rooms and one twin room, all ensuite with stunning views of the loch and the hills. For that added bit of luxury one of the rooms has a large double bath situated in the bay window, perfect for relaxing in, watching the world go by after a long day walking and exploring.
The restaurant serves home cooked meals made with local and Scottish produce. All food is freshly made on site and as seasonal food items are used the menu changes frequently with specials available at the weekend. Every Sunday there is a roast of the day.
The bar offers good ales and a fine selection of whiskies. The Inn has recently been awarded a Cask Marque award for the quality of the real ales and is the only place in the Dunoon area to have this award.
The restaurant and bar are currently open 7 days a week although do check the website for up-to- date opening hours and times.
You can hire a boat for a few hours or for the whole day to explore Loch Eck with its many little beaches and inlets. The boats can also be used for fishing from with the possibility of catching Salmon and Brown Trout. Permits to fish can be purchased from reception.
Families are welcome and we have a selection of board games to help keep children entertained. For a special treat they can even help to feed our chickens. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar. For further information see our website or give us a call.
