About
Small,isolated, well sheltered campsite to the west end of the island, surrounded by the RSPB reserve. This site has basic facilities and the water is a private supply tested by the local Enviromental Department.
The walled garden is listed by Historic Scotland for its historic value, and association with Breachacha New Castle.
SORRY BUT WE DO NOT ALLOW DOGS ON OUR SITE BECAUSE OF THE LIVESTOCK AND WE HAVE THREE FEMALE JACK RUSSELLS OF OUR OWN.
Tents:
Twenty pitches are available in the walled garden.
Mobiles and Caravans: PLEASE GIVE SIZE WHEN BOOKING
According to size, two can park in the front of the house. Others can park inside walled garden if you can fit through the arch, and more space can be found, but that is why we recommend that you book.
Large mobiles and caravans the turning into the driveway from the village side is tight, and so we suggest that you go to the airport entrance to turn around and approach our driveway from the other direction. Somehow it works!
Facilities:
Wet room, Water, toilet, fire equipment, chemical disposal point, fridge/freezer, Microwave, Seating and tables, Drying lines, BBQ area. There are some electric hitch up points in front of the house for mobiles. We now have electric hitch up points for tents as well.
CARAVAN FOR RENT:
Sleeps four but more comfortable for two, Old but clean and cosy, basic facilities: - fridge,cooker,fan,porta potty and water.
Five minutes from Breachacha beach. (pronounced brek-a-kur meaning field of many flowers)
