Completed to the highest standards of craftsmanship, Kilmun is a genuine Norwegian pine lodge designed to withstand the rigours of Scandinavian weather, making it ideal for year-round use in our milder Scottish climate. Comfortably furnished and well equipped for up to 4 people, its spacious rooms with high beamed ceilings are light and airy during the day and with double-glazing plus electric heating throughout, you’ll stay cosy and warm at night.
The views from the lodge of Loch Avich and surrounding hills are truly stunning - whether you’re sitting having breakfast watching the early morning mist melt away, or relaxing on the patio in the evening with a glass of wine, as the sun sets.
Perfectly positioned near to the coast and midway between Ben Nevis in the north and the Kintyre peninsula in the south, Kilmun is a wonderful base for exploring the west of Scotland – and whatever your interests, there’s plenty to see and do…….
Fishing, walking, bird-watching and mountain bike trails are all available locally. The area is rich in wildlife - deer, red squirrel, pine marten, black throated diver, eagle and osprey are all frequent visitors to Lochavich - and the newly arrived beavers at Knapdale are only an hour's drive away. Also within easy travelling distance you'll find beautiful gardens, historic castles and kirks, ancient stone circles, museums, distilleries, sea cruises, wildlife excursions, or even a visit to the Corryvreckan whirlpool on a high-powered motorboat!
