Come to Oban! Oban is the Sea Kayaking Capital of Europe! Offering unrivalled access to the West Coast of Scotland including the numerous Hebridean Islands its the ideal base or start point for your sea kayaking adventures. Travel on the connecting ferries is free for your kayak on its trolley, you just pay the passenger fare.
Nearby there are excellent White water Rivers both freeflowing & dam controlled that run all summer long , plus great Canyoneering and Coasteering.
Rugged coastline with many islands providing shelter and interest.
Towering cliffs, silver sand beaches, fantastic camping on short grass.
Wildlife otters, seals, dolphins, eagles, basking sharks & whales.
Easy to get to but uncrowded (in Oban it’s 50m train to the water).
Easy access to so many islands & lochs.
Regardless of the weather we can always have a good day out on the water.
The further North & West you go in Scotland the windier it gets. With a good forecast we can quickly get to the islands of Colonsay, Coll or Mull & yet when its rough out there we can enjoy the shelter on the Inner Lochs & Sounds.
