Situated on the hill above the town enjoying sea views over the bay towards Mull, Thornloe B & B is a substantial Victorian house, 5 minutes walk from the town centre, yet in a quiet location.
The bed and breakfast accommodation comprises 7 fully en-suite bedrooms (of which 4 have sea views). One of our rooms can accommodate a family of up to 4 (children are always most welcome). Here at Thornloe we take pride in being environmentally friendly and, as such, are a silver member of the VisitScotland Green Tourism accreditation scheme.
Oban is located in an exceptionally beautiful part of Scotland and is an ideal base for visiting Mull, Iona, Staffa, Glencoe and the Western Isles.
Other activities in the area include golf, sailing, walking, visiting castles and gardens, horse-riding, whisky-tasting, munro-bagging....the list is endless.
Internet access is available for guests travelling with their own laptops/portable devices.
If you are looking to research your family tree whilst here Valerie is more than happy to help with ideas of places to visit. Specific research on behalf of guests needs to be discussed in advance of your visit.
Limited parking in car park at rear. Entry via Dalraich Road.
Check-in is between 3pm and 7pm (after 7pm only by prior arrangement) Check out by 10 am
